Who should attend:
Any person who is expected to respond to a fire alarm or may actually be confronted by a real fire. Any person who may be required or have the opportunity to use a fire extinguisher.

Duration:
1.5 - 2 hours per session

Theory session:
Classroom environment, normally held in meeting / training room

Practical session:
Conducted outside (area size of 5x parking spaces)

• Chemistry of Fire
• Fire Behaviour
• Fire Action Routines
• Fire Extinguisher (Types / Classifications / Colour Coding Standards / Correct Application / Capabilities & Limitations)

Practical

• Health & Safety Briefing
• Fire Action Routines
• Use of Water Extinguisher on a waste bin fire
• Use of Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers on a computer fire
• Demonstration of Foam Fire Extinguisher on a liquid fire
• Demonstration of a Fire Blanket on a chip pan or microwave fire
• Demonstration of Powder Fire Extinguisher (if location permits)
• Q&A + Assessments - constant throughout both theory and practical elements of the course 

Note:

If requested by the customer before our arrival, each course will include:

• 1x Fire Certificate for each participant (Individually named)
• 3x Fire Certificate for your business (all participants named)
• 1x Fire Certificate Frame (for your business certificate)
• Fire Log Book Software or booklet
