Fire Warden / Marshal Training Course Details

Any person that has been allocated fire safety responsibilities in the prevention of fires and implement fire evacuations should a fire occur.

Duration:
2.5 - 3 hours per session

Theory location:
Classroom environment, meeting / training room

Practical location:
Conducted outside (area the size of 4x parking spaces)

Theory session:

  • Fire Law (in brief)
  • The Threat & Chemistry of Fire
  • Fire Behaviour & Fire Action Routines
  • Calling the Fire Brigade
  • Fire Classification
  • Fire Extinguisher Capabilities & Limitations
  • Fire Extinguisher Types & Colour Coding
  • Application of Extinguishing Media

Practical Session:

  • Fire Action Routines
  • Use of Water & Co2 Extinguishers on Real Fires
  • Demonstration of Foam Extinguisher
  • Demonstration of Fire Blanket

Theory Session:

  • 'The Role of a Fire Warden' (DVD)
  • Assessing Fire Risks
  • Spotting & Reporting Hazards
  • The Appropriate Action in the Event of a Fire
  • First Aid Fire Fighting
  • Ensuring Full & Safe Evacuation
  • Fire Safety Equipment Maintenance Schedules

Note:

If requested by the customer before our arrival, each course will include:

  • 1x Fire Certificate for each participant (Individually named)
  • 3x Fire Certificate for your business (all participants named)
  • 1x Fire Certificate Frame (for your business certificate)
  • Fire Log Book Software or booklet
  • ‘FIRE WARDEN’ Jacket
